Summit Ridge Reopening Plan
After much thought, prayer, and input from our congregation and our leadership (Staff, Deacons, and Elders) Sunday, May 31st is our target date for reopening the church for in-person worship services only.
Obviously, in reopening that does not mean going back to normal or how we were meeting prior to the pandemic. It is out of an abundance of caution and a desire to ensure the safety of everyone that the leadership has created a phase one plan, while not perfect nor ideal, we believe will help achieve these two desired outcomes.
Here is the plan
Opening Date-May 31, 2020
Open the church for Worship Services Only
Limit of 50 people (People will be asked to RSVP by email:info@summitridge.church or call: 520.742.5122)

Any staff or volunteer with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more will not be allowed in the building
Those over 65 years old and those most at risk are encouraged not to attend
Worship Center will space 50 chairs to promote social distancing of 6ft.

Signs will be posted around the church encouraging people to do non-contact greetings (it’s ok to wave and say ‘hi’)
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the church building
Bibles will be removed from chairs
Ministries
No Summit Groups will meet
No outside groups will meet
No Children’s Ministry or classes
No childcare will be provided
No coffee or snacks will be available

Worship Services will continue to be live-streamed on Facebook and Youtube
Communion will be distributed via individual pre-packed elements
An Offering box will be available in the Worship Center to receive offerings
Worship Bulletins and Bibles will be not available
Ushers will not receive the offering nor hand-out bulletins
Greeters will not shake hands or hug people (it’s ok to wave and say ‘hi’)
There is no perfect time to open. And given the ever-changing dynamic of this virus, there is no better or worse time to open. If you are uncomfortable, please do not violate your conscience and do not come. Rather, come back to church when you are ready and feel comfortable doing so. As shared in this plan, we will continue to live stream the worship services so you can continue to participate in them from your home.
Our goal is to eventually have all of us back together as soon as we believe it is safe to do so. These plans are not set in stone, and can and will be changed if necessary to continue to provide a safe environment for everyone who comes to the church building.
